Privacy policy
When you visit this website or get in touch with me, you sometimes share personal data with me. I handle that data with care and follow the applicable laws, including the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In this privacy policy, I explain what data I collect and what I do with it.
DigiPaws is the English-language studio of Digitale Pootjes, located at Graan voor Visch 18617, 2132 GL Hoofddorp, the Netherlands, and registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 52889122. Digitale Pootjes is responsible for processing the personal data described in this policy.
What data I collect, and why
1. To answer your questions
When you email me or fill out a form on this website, I store your name, email address, your message and anything else you choose to share (such as your business name or current website). I use this to reply to you and to remember what we discussed.
Legal basis: legitimate interest.
2. To send you a proposal and work together
If we decide to work together, I store your name, email address, business details, phone number and the content you send me for your website. I need this to build and deliver your website and to provide the Website Care Plan.
Legal basis: performance of a contract.
3. To invoice you
For invoicing, I store your name, address, email address and business details. Dutch law requires me to keep invoices for 7 years.
Legal basis: legal obligation.
4. To share your review
If you send me a review and agree to it being published, I share it on my website or social media with your name, business name and profession.
Legal basis: consent.
Cookies and analytics
This website only uses functional cookies that are needed for it to work. It does not use advertising or tracking cookies, so you won’t see a cookie banner.
Who I share your data with
I don’t sell your data. I only share it with service providers that help me run my business, such as my web hosting and email provider, my accounting software and video calling tools. I have data processing agreements in place with them. Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. In that case, appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long I keep your data
- Contact details and emails: deleted 2 years after our last contact, unless still needed for a contract or a dispute.
- Invoices and proposals: kept for the legal retention period of 7 years.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, to withdraw your consent and to receive your data in a portable format. Send your request to simone@digipaws.studio. I’ll respond within four weeks at the latest.
You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Security
I take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against misuse, loss and unauthorized access. If a data breach happens anyway, I will report it to the Dutch Data Protection Authority within 72 hours when required.
Changes
I may update this privacy policy when laws or my business change. Please check this page from time to time.
